“She found the exact problem..”
On Nov 7th, 2022, I removed a benign tumor in my head. The surgery was a success, but I had aftermath and one of them was severe dysphagia (inability to swallow) resulting in a feeding tube. The next day, I was visited by an angel named Lauren. With a kind and beautiful smile, Lauren explained to me more about my situation and how she would help me teach me exercises to start right away. Our connection was instantaneous, and every day she was visiting me with more exercises and searches. She found the exact problem that I had been dealing with was with the vagus nerve (one of the MOST important cranial nerves) and we could start working on that. When I was given the discharge, we continued in contact until I told her I could eat again. More than a professional, found a friend that I will have in my heart and I'll be eternally grateful. Thank you, Lauren. I wish you the best. Kisses and Hugs.

“Lauren was a champion for my sister…”
My sister suffered a sudden pulmonary embolism at the age of 29. Her brain endured several minutes of oxygen deprivation before paramedics could resuscitate her, and the consequence was a diffused, anoxic brain injury.
When my sister finally woke up, it was after months of a medically-induced coma, neurostorming, and minimal consciousness. My family and I weren’t sure what kind of quality of life, if any, my sister could have. We were emotionally devastated, physically exhausted, and ill-equipped to deal with the situation in front of us. We knew almost nothing about brain injuries, aphasia, apraxia, or how the mind heals itself after a trauma like this.
I can truly say that my sister’s recovery, and my family’s well-being, would have suffered tremendously without Lauren. I found her the most passionate, dedicated, and loving member of her therapy team by far. Her expertise within her field were clear, as were the lengths and time she put into researching studies, techniques, and coaching methodologies to help my sister.
She equipped my entire family with a framework for understanding my sister’s injury, the various ways her cognition and physical capacity had changed because of it, and the tools we’d need for developing new skills. Lauren made all of us speech therapists, and the knowledge was invaluable.
But more than anything, Lauren was a champion for my sister. She fought to ensure that she received the best care, worked with the best therapists possible, and that her dignity and independence were respected.
Lauren is a phenomenal therapist. She will treat your family like her own and work tirelessly for them. I couldn’t think of a better person to place with a loved one who needs help.- Sibling of Brain Injury Survivor

We are grateful for her exceptional care and compassionate commitment. We wanted a speech therapist who was as committed to our loved one’s recovery as we were and that was Lauren.
- From the family of a Brain Injury Survivor
Back in September of 2019 I was involved in a traumatic car accident which resulted in me sustaining a severe TBI (traumatic brain injury) which left me in a coma for 17 days. Once stable enough in November of 2019 I was transferred via air ambulance to Miami, Florida for further rehabilitation therapy. This is where I met my Speech Pathologist, Lauren Marie Healy. Since returning back home in February of 2020 she has been my constant speech therapist providing weekly online sessions via tele-health. These sessions have improved my speech quality, memory, and have helped me to gain more confidence and independence within my daily living activities. She had me establish a detailed easy-to-use medication and health card to keep on hand at all times so that I or medical professionals can access my important medical history and key contacts in the event I cannot provide it for myself. She always encourages me and gives me tasks to do between our sessions to keep my brain stimulated for daily improvements. She believes in you and she shines the spotlight, only to stand outside of it and guide you. Lauren is a CONSTANT in my life. I have gained enormous confidence and improvement in my recovery process working with her and I am so fortunate and grateful for her ability to assist me in getting back to doing life again…

“Her unwavering belief in my potential has...”
As a person with a brain Injury, choosing your team and your success heavily depends on the people involved in your recovery. Lauren Healy being one of them for me, so let me share why I am where I am today. One of Lauren Healy’s most remarkable qualities is her ability to tailor the therapy sessions to my specific needs and limitations. She approached each session with patience, kindness, and an encouraging spirit, which not only boosted my confidence but also inspired me to push my boundaries and work harder towards my goals. Her unwavering belief in my potential has been a driving force behind my progress. Her expertise in the field of speech pathology, combined with a profound understanding of the complexities of brain injuries, created an environment where I felt not only supported but truly understood. Her support has not only enhanced my speech but also restored my confidence and self-belief, which were severely impacted by my brain injury. I am now better equipped to face the challenges ahead, and I owe a substantial part of this progress to her exceptional guidance. She pulled me out of a dark place and showed me what it feels like to ebb and flow into the south of France..
